Raiders V Carrum
A dry and windy afternoon set the scene for the masters to regain that winning feeling.
We needed to get back to basics and find our game plan mojo.
It was a game that saw the majority of the scoring at one end of the ground and both sides made the most of their opportunities.
It was nice as a coach to have the luxury of trying players in different positions and the results showed on on the scoreboard.
Our discipline when tested was evident when the oppositions wasn’t and in the end this got us over the line. We focused as a group and played as a team. I was so proud of the way we continued to attack the contest and the way the entire team stepped up when the going got tough.
They say the game is won from the centre and our midfield machine couldn’t be faulted all day.
Well done Raiders, if we can continue to improve as a unit there’s only good things ahead for us.
