The Masters travelled to Oval 2 Casey Fields for our first hit out with a new look match day lineup. We welcomed in 3 x debutants to the club and had ourselves set to open this years account with a win.
Unfortunately our expectations out weighed our ability in the wet conditions and we ended up losing to a better side on the day.
It was a game of contrasting halves and the big ground and weather conditions weren’t conducive to our style of play.
In stark contrast to last year we started slow but finished strong. If we can manage to put four solid quarters together we will be highly rated.
I was very pleased with our fitness and endeavour and our never say die attitude. It’s early days and if we can continue to consolidate our structures and game plans we will certainly taste success very soon.
