Football is a game of highs and lows and unfortunately on Sunday we couldn’t of sunk any lower.
We travelled to Cranbourne to take on a side that had only lost to sides above them on the ladder and although we had key players out and a bit of the man flu going round, we were looking to consolidate our top 4 position with another win.
The wide open spaces and the heavy ground found us struggling in all positions. Cranbourne certainly know how to play their their own patch and were younger, fitter, faster and move skilful than us on the day.
All sides have a game that shocks them back into ‘hunger’ mode and I’m hoping this was it for us.
It’s certainly not panic stations at the Mighty Raiders but it might be a time for inner reflection and for the playing group to work out among themselves what they really want to achieve out of this year.
