Goals: S Bradshaw 2, C Brown, T Loft, S Doherty
Best: C Richmond, S Bugeja, D Park, B Rumpf, J Mills, T Loft
Average day for the Raiders at Dingley on a hard ground with a pretty hard at it opposition keen to inflict as much pain as possible, both physically and on the scoreboard. The effort was there once again but as we know, with our ever growing injury list, we are undermanned and yesterday we were outgunned. The midfield tried very hard with Budge, Lofty, Parksy and Incy all doing well both in close and around the ground. Chris Richmond showed his clean pair of heels and long kicking to be a standout patrolling from half back to half forward. In defence, Millsy, before he went into the guts, was particularly strong at it, as was Brett Rumpf, who only seems to know one way to go at it…..hard! The early losses of Cam Richards and Lukey Sheenan certainly hindered the rotational ability to spread the load but the effort went right down to the wire, if the score didn’t. Special thanks to Morrey, Lenny, Razor & Rossco for doubling up to lend a hand. Special mention to Brett Stephens for providing some verbal highlights with the water bottles!
