Tough day at the office for the Supers in a contest that was much closer than the scoreline would have you believe. With an obviously undermanned side due to our long unavailables list, it was quite obvious that this Raider team was never going to give in the towel and was enjoying the competitive nature of the game. Unfortunately, we were just outgunned in the end. Matty Jacobs completely beat out ex-Raider Simon Goosey at full back and had his measure fully. The only goals Goosey got were off the back of a pack or short passes that no one could be stopping. One on one, Matty outplayed him consistently. Budge was terrific on his wing after playing two quarters in the Masters whilst Micky Hester also played a ripper both off half back or in the centre, against after playing two Masters quarters. The forward line tried hard to have an impact and put pressure on the ball going out, but on a big ground and having most of the forward line playing their second game in a row, it was a tough ask. Special mentions to the midfielders in Parksy, Biscuits, Lofty, Chris Richo & Cam Richo who did not stop trying all day whilst down back Marty, Kenny, Millsy and Leo battled hard against the flow. Thanks to those players who doubled up to help out in Razor, Byron, Morrey, Jay, Rossco & Lenny along with Parksy, Bradders, Budge and Mick Hester who had already played one game also.
