The Raider Over 45’s travelled out to play Brunswick at Brunswick. We hoped to have a good game to celebrate Lenny’s 150th and Rugby Ross’ 100th games. Brunswick were great in cheering the boys onto the ground by joining us in a Guard of Honour.
That was the end of their generosity though. They came out blazing and kicked 5 goals to nil in the first 1/4. That set the tone for the game. They out ran us and teamed better. We had our moments with good passages of play though. Lenny worked hard in the engine room. Col won the hit outs in the ruck. Ash got plenty of the ball on the wing. Pete Daniel and Razor went into the middle and did a great job.Andy Riddle was good down back and later on the wing. We tried all match and never gave up against the better side on the day.
