The Supers finished off the triple header afternoon at the Raiderdome with an emphatic thrashing of an undermanned but competitive Narre Warren outfit.  Although, seriously what chance did Narre Warren have playing in those awful jumpers??   The Raiders got on top early with Big Gabe hitting the scoreboard with four majors in the first quarter and the game was never in doubt after that opening burst.  If Chris Richo had’ve kicked straight it would’ve been downright ugly very early.  Big Gabe finished with ten goals, which is the equal highest in a Supers game for the Raiders.  He might have kicked about 10.5 from memory, so that record was truly his for the taking.  With the game being out of danger very early, Wokka was happy to see blokes in different positions as when the business end of the season comes around, versatility will be very important.   In the end, the Raiders won by 144 points, the 4th or 5th highest winning margin in Raider history.  Special mention to Parksy on his 50th game.  Special mention also to Gilesy who looked at home down forward.  Last special mention to backs turned forwards in Matty J & Newy…..they looked good down forward, eh?

Cheers Slugga
