Rd 5 Supers v Carrum

Heading up the road again to Carrum to play our 4th road game in a row, with what would have to be almost our best side on paper.
On paper doesn’t always translate into great performances , but in this instance I was really happy with the way we went about it and how things panned out.

To kick a score of 23 goals 11, you just don’t see that much in supers football, and our backline which has been in super form all year to hold the opposition again to only 4 goals, and run out winners by 120 points, was a great performance.

It was also great to see the club have 4 wins on the day for the first time across all sides. Well done to everyone on and off the field.

We had winners all over the ground in a great sign for the Supers moving forward. With around 15 new players this season, all beginning to gel and work together it’s been great to see!
Our rotations are working really well, and hurting the opposition, allowing us to run on top of the ground for 4 quarters.

Some notable mentions were Luke ‘Damage‘ Damon up forward with 8 goals, and Hadley with his best game for the club with 5 snags. Greg Woods at CHF and giving keegs a chop out in the ruck was super, I felt Bondy had a ripper in the middle with his best game to date, Richo ran riot on the wing, and all the boys down back as mentioned before were really solid. They are building a great rapport down there.

Must keep working hard and doing all the right things.
Frankston at home next game will be our toughest challenge to date!
Let’s send a message. Recover well and see you all at training!
