Dynesy’s Dictation – Over 45s Match Report Rd 2, 2019.

28/04/2019

A very tired and emotional bunch of over 45s will head off to bed now, and there will be worse to come tomorrow morning.

A cracking game from our boys today and a comfortable win.

Six different players from last game with Phil Stoney making his debut for the club and Bradders playing his 100th .

Damn fine effort to get to 100 games in over age footy, what a great footballer and impressive fella.

Don’t know who was the best, Gabe kicked six goals and was the difference when the game was there to be won.

Clarky and Stoney just owned full back and centre half back respectively. Stoney went forward late an kicked a goal just like that.

Great to have the captain back, but then he pulled a hammy warming up for the Masters, Vaughny also doubled up and had his nose busted, at least he’s still got his hand modelling.

The backline was terrific, the forwards tackled and harassed, the rucks and followers just flogged themselves to exhaustion,

but as usual the quiet achievers, like Diesel, Coxy, Andy, Jv, Morrie, Ackers, these types just did more than they were asked, and set the tone from the first bounce.

Thanks to the girls for patching us up, Vossy, Morgs and Charlie for helping run the bench.

Frankston next Sunday at 9.30

Starting to feel like a proper team now, which is fortunate cos winter is coming!
